The first time I tried to take my own life I was 15.At the time, I didn’t know that I was struggling to live with acute childhood trauma and CPTSD
Emotional & physical abuse were my ‘normal’, I was told I was a waste of space and, I believed it
My stomach was pumped, a parent appeared, didn’t look at me, asked how I could do that ‘to her’ & left.
The next day, I was released back into her ‘care’.I don’t think I’d of contacted a charity, I don’t think I felt deserving of help.
But someone around me might of thought I was & PAPYRUS would have shown them how to best support me
I’m so incredibly thankful they exist educating, talking, supporting
But suicide is still the biggest killer of under 35’s in the UK.I never thought I would reach my milestone birthday this week
So, if you were thinking of sending a gift or buying me a drink, please donate here instead. It would mean the world to me, every single penny helps
Thank you & for being in my world xxxx
It’s a magical place that frightened & oh so vulnerable teenager had no idea existed PAPYRUS help other young people to the other side of hope too xxx
