Are you not sure how you’re feeling?

Are your feelings up and down like a roller coaster?

Do you feel overwhelmed but cannot quite put your finger on why?

If the answer is yes to any of these questions don’t despair, we are experiencing collective trauma and this is our response.

But sadly, for many of us this is not the first trauma we have survived. Now though, all the distractions we usually use to keep us from addressing our feelings have been peeled away.

Things like nights out with friends, trips to the theatre or a work out at the gym are not available to us at the moment.

So, we are now being confronted by all those long hidden feelings and they are demanding our attention. But we are so used to running from them, we don’t know what to do.

Here is a tip that might help, try to imagine your feelings are visitors. They will keep knocking until you let them in but when you do, they can’t and don’t stay. Time changes feelings and like energy; they keep moving.
